Revolutionary Change in a World in Ferment: A Call for Proposals
for the 2011 Annual Meeting of the
Georgia Political Science AssociationNov. 10, 11, and 12, 2011 at the Doubletree Hotel in Historic Savannah, Georgia
Recent months have witnessed significant revolutionary upheaval, from the Middle East and Southwest Asia to European capital cities and here at home. What roles have increasing globalization, new technologies, and new forms of social media played in these unfolding events? Under the expansive theme of "Revolutionary Change in a World in Ferment" a call for papers to the 2011 Georgia Political Science Association is issued. (NOTE: To be accepted, proposals need not address the selected theme.)
Faculty, independent scholars, graduate students, and advanced undergraduate students are encouraged to submit their research for discussion and review at the 43rd annual conference to be held in Savannah, Georgia, at the Doubletree Hotel, located in the heart of the city's quaint historic district.
Papers will be accepted from all fields of Political Science, Criminal Justice, and other related disciplines. Once presented, scholars and faculty members are also encouraged to submit their papers for publication consideration in our edited and refereed annual proceedings, published online each year.The deadline for submission of proposals is July 1, 2011; acceptances will be offered on a rolling basis with panels to be organized no later than Sept. 1, 2011.
