The rise of globalization, environmental challenges, economic recession, rapid dissemination of information and increased interconnectivity has drastically changed the dynamic of everyday existence. What challenges will we face in this new world as a result of the ever-growing rise and distribution of technology and increased spread of culture and ideas? Under the broad theme of “New World, New Challenges” a call for papers to the 2010 Georgia Political Science Association is issued—proposals need not address the selected theme. Faculty, graduate students, and advanced undergraduate students are encouraged to submit their research for discussion and review at the 42nd annual conference to be held in Savannah, Georgia at the Doubletree Hotel, located in the heart of the city’s historic district. Papers will be accepted from all fields of Political Science, Criminal Justice, and any other related disciplines. Scholars and faculty members can choose to submit their presentation papers for consideration of publication in our edited and refereed annual proceedings published online each year with the best paper selected for the McBrayer Award, including a cash prize of $500. Undergraduate research nominated by faculty members will be eligible for the annual Pajari Award.
The deadline for submission is July 15, 2010; acceptances will be offered on a rolling basis with organized panels no later than September 1, 2010.
Send your paper and panel proposals to Dr. Gregory Domin of Columbus State University, the 2010 program chair. Volunteers for discussant and chair roles are also welcome. |
